Welcome to the Innovation Tees Valley Awards application process! The Innovation Tees Valley awards celebrate outstanding achievements across the Tees Valley’s vibrant innovation ecosystem, recognising businesses that drive growth, tackle key challenges, and showcase ingenuity in their sectors.

The awards will be presented at the Innovation Tees Valley event—a one-day showcase where businesses can gain visibility, network with investors, industry leaders and key partners, fostering growth opportunities in Tees Valley’s innovation network.

✅ Eligibility and Categories ✅

The awards are open to businesses trading within the Tees Valley. There are 11 categories of which 10 can be applied for through this process. The Innovation of the Year award will be awarded through an audience participation process at the event.  Awards in the following categories are determined by the business's size based on the number of employees:

• Innovative Small Business Award (up to 49 employees)
• Innovative Medium Business Award (50-249 employees)
• Innovative Large Business Award (250+ employees)

The following awards are exclusively for Small and Medium Enterprises (with up to 249 employees) in these categories:

• Digital Innovation Award
• Sustainability Innovation Award
• Healthcare Innovation Award
• Professional Services Innovation Award
• Social Innovation Award
